Can WineWall be integrated into kitchen cabinetry?
Yes. WineWall is designed to work beautifully as part of a kitchen, living room, dining area or other interior. It can be positioned alongside tall cabinets or incorporated into a complete cabinetry design.
For built-in installations, we recommend planning the WineWall together with your kitchen supplier, carpenter or WineGuard specialist to ensure the correct dimensions and airflow around the cooling system.
How deep is WineWall?
A standard WineWall is designed around a depth of 600 mm or 570mm, making it suitable for both integration into many standard interior and kitchen layouts and freestanding on wall.
The exact required depth may vary depending on the WineWall model, installation and surrounding cabinetry. Always use the technical drawing for the selected model when planning the opening.
Can WineWall be installed against a wall?
Yes. WineWall can be installed against an existing wall or integrated into an interior. The position of the insulated panels, glass system and cooling unit should be considered during planning.
Can WineWall be freestanding?
Yes. Depending on the configuration and room layout, WineWall can be installed as a freestanding feature or integrated into existing architecture.
For installations where several sides are visible, WineGuard can also provide solutions with additional glass panels.
Can WineWall be installed on a floor with underfloor heating?
Yes, but additional preparation may be required. A thermal break between the heated floor and the insulated WineWall floor may be necessary to prevent heat transfer into the wine room.
We recommend discussing this with WineGuard before installation.
Does the floor need to be completely level?
WineWall should be installed on a solid and level surface. A level base makes assembly easier and ensures that the glass doors operate correctly.
Small variations can normally be corrected during preparation of the installation area.
Where can the cooling unit be positioned?
The cooling unit is normally integrated into one of the insulated side panels of the WineWall.
Depending on the model and installation, it can usually be positioned on either the left or right side. We recommend deciding the position during the planning stage so it works naturally with the surrounding interior.
How much noise does the cooling system make?
The cooling system is designed for indoor wine-room installations with low noise and low vibration.
Like any refrigeration system, you will hear the fans and compressor while the system is operating. The perceived sound level will also depend on the room, surrounding cabinetry and installation.
Does WineWall require drainage?
Normally, no fixed floor drain or external drainage connection is required. The cooling system uses automatic condensate evaporation during normal operation.
Correct installation is important to ensure that condensation is handled as intended.
What electrical connection is required?
The cooling system operates on 220–240 V and should be connected to a grounded electrical supply.
The electrical outlet should be planned before installation and positioned according to the WineWall installation instructions.
What temperature can I set inside WineWall?
WineWall is designed specifically for wine storage. Factory settings at 12 celcius. The temperature can be adjusted to create a stable environment suitable for storing and serving wine.
The recommended setting will depend on whether you primarily store red wine, white wine, Champagne or a combination.
Can WineWall DUO have two different temperatures?
Yes. WineWall 3230 DUO is designed with two separate zones and two cooling systems.
This makes it possible to create different temperature environments within the same WineWall – for example one zone for red wine and another for white wine or Champagne.
Can my carpenter install it?
Absolutely. A carpenter, kitchen installer or experienced tradesperson can install WineWall.
Because the main components are prepared as part of the WineWall system, the installer does not need to design an entire wine room from scratch.
Do you offer installation?
Installation options depend on your location.
WineGuard works with dealers, installers and professional partners in different markets. Contact us with your location and project details and we will help you find the most suitable solution.
How long does installation take?
Installation time depends on the WineWall model, access to the installation area and the surrounding interior.
Preparing electricity, floor conditions and any surrounding cabinetry before delivery will normally make the installation considerably faster.
Do I need a refrigeration engineer to install the cooling system?
The WineWall cooling unit is supplied as a complete refrigeration system and does not require an on-site installation of refrigerant pipes in the way a traditional split cooling system does.
The unit must still be installed correctly according to the installation instructions.
How is WineWall delivered?
WineWall is delivered as a complete system with the main components prepared for assembly.
Depending on the selected model, the delivery includes the insulated room elements, WineGuard glass system, cooling solution, lighting and selected Caverack interior.
What happens if a glass panel is damaged during delivery?
Contact WineGuard or your dealer immediately and document the damage with photographs before installation.
We will help identify the affected component and arrange the correct replacement solution as quickly as possible.
Can I choose another handle?
Yes. WineWall can be supplied with different handle options.
You can choose the handle that best suits your kitchen, interior and personal style.
Can I change the frame colour?
The standard WineGuard glass system is supplied in our signature finish, but alternative finishes may be available for selected projects.
Contact WineGuard if you have specific requirements for frame colour or architectural integration.
Can WineWall be customised?
Yes. The standard WineWall models are designed to cover the most common requirements, but WineGuard also offers solutions for projects requiring different dimensions, glass configurations or architectural integration.
For fully bespoke wine rooms, our WineGuard Glass Systems can also be used to create a completely customised solution.
Can I choose a different glass configuration?
Yes. Depending on the project, WineGuard offers sliding doors, hinged doors and fixed glass panels.
This makes it possible to adapt the entrance and glass layout to the surrounding room.
Can lighting be dimmed?
Yes. WineWall includes integrated LED lighting designed to enhance both the room and the wine collection.
The lighting can be dimmed, allowing you to create anything from functional display lighting to a subtle evening atmosphere.
Can WineWall store Champagne and larger bottles?
Yes. The interior can accommodate different bottle types, including Champagne and larger-format bottles.
If you have a collection with many non-standard bottle sizes, we recommend taking this into account when configuring the Caverack interior.
Who do I contact if I need service later?
Start by contacting the WineGuard dealer or partner who supplied your WineWall, or contact WineGuard directly.
Because WineWall is built from defined components, individual parts such as cooling, lighting, glass hardware or interior components can be identified and serviced or replaced without replacing the complete wine room.
Are spare parts available?
Yes. WineWall is designed as a long-term product, and key components can be serviced or replaced individually.
If you need assistance in the future, provide your order information and WineWall model and we can help identify the correct part.
